As we all adjust to our new different normals, the isolation that now roughly one quarter of the world is living in, like many of you we have developed new rhythms and strategies, ways of coping and nurturing to support ourselves and those around us during this time. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Rarely, despite the physical isolation, have we felt more connected and more invested in our community and loved ones. Through all the daily phone calls, video calls, letters, emails, shared shopping baskets, sticky notes, and gifts many of us will have established a new way of truly knowing how someone is within their being. Not what they're doing, how was the holiday or work, but deeply and constantly caring for their wellbeing, observing and hearing the smallest realities. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For the first time our own capacities to truly engage have been ignited and the need to know, directly from the person and not a status, how are they, almost in real time has flourished. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The realisation and reevaluation of our needs has also come to the fore. The realisation that we have few material needs but many social needs has asked us to look inward in order to then look out. We've been reminded how important our connections to our community are. Our connections to our place, our home and to time. The very fact that a shift is occurring out there whilst we're all indoors has highlighted are integral connectors. The yearning for growth, hope and happiness is all there in the unfurling of spring. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As we identify our triggers and support mechanisms we balance our new normals around us.
Perhaps it was time that we stopped and looked deeply. Perhaps it was time to switch off from everything and to slowly switch on to all of our being, tune into the world and seasons around us, connect with our needs and our lives and move forward knowing ourselves and supporting our ecosystem, for that is the home that supports us.
Wishing you all a day of wellness, content & health💚
