Korkmaz Ergun appointed CEO of Borsa Istanbul

At the Borsa İstanbul General Assembly held today, Korkmaz Enes Ergun, Deputy Director General of Borsa İstanbul, was elected as the general director who was left vacant following the resignation of Hakan Atilla. Ergun was currently serving as Deputy General Manager responsible for quotations at Borsa Istanbul.

On the other hand, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Ali Al Hammadi was elected as a member of the board of directors and Işınsu Kestelli was elected as an independent member of the board in Borsa Istanbul, led by Erişah Arıcan.

Other board members Korkmaz Ergun, Prof. Dr. Fahrettin Altun and Metin Kıratlı, and independent board members Yunus Arıncı, Prof. Dr. Cem Demiroğlu became Tevfik Eraslan.


Completing his undergraduate education at Ankara University, Faculty of Political Science, Department of Business Administration in 1997, Ergun began his career in Borsa Istanbul the same year. He completed his Master’s and PhD at the University of Marmara, Department of Economics. With 24 years of experience in the Stock Market and Capital Markets, Ergun managed the evaluation of public offerings of many companies, the examination of listed companies and market activities. Ergun is currently serving as Deputy General Manager responsible for Quotations.
