Inflation rose 1.08 percent in March to 16.19 percent annually.
In CPI (2003 = 100) of March 2021, 1.08% compared to the previous month, 3.71% compared to December of the previous year, 16.19% compared to the same month of the previous year and 13% over the averages of twelve months Increase at 18.
The lowest annual increase was 2.87% in the group of alcoholic beverages and tobacco.
The other large groups where the increase was low compared to the same month of the previous year were clothing and footwear with 7.43%, communication with 8.01% and education with 8.33%, respectively. On the other hand, the main groups with the highest increases compared to the same month of the previous year were transportation with 24.85%, household goods with 23.64% and miscellaneous goods and services with 21.49%, respectively.
The group that presented the lowest monthly increase was that of alcoholic beverages and tobacco with 0.04%
Regarding the main expenditure groups, there were no changes in the transport group in March 2021. Other large groups that showed a lower increase were those of household goods with 0.54% and housing with 0.70% . On the other hand, the groups with high increases in March 2021 were health with 3.70%, education with 2.77% and restaurants and hotels with 2.60%, respectively.
In March 2021, the average price of 93 items out of 415 items covered in the index decreased, while the average price of 35 items was unchanged. There was an increase in the average price of 287 items.
The special CPI indicator (B) increased 17.49% annually and 1.26% monthly
The CPI excluding unprocessed food, energy, alcoholic beverages, tobacco and gold in March 2021 is 1.26% compared to the previous month, 3.73% compared to December of the previous year, 17.49% compared to the same month of the year above and an increase of 13.25% compared to the twelve-month averages.
